Electorial College: For or Against
Personally I am thinking that the electorial college votes are somewhat ineffective in presenting the view of the public. Supposedly they are supposed to represent the popular vote of the state but they vote however they choose sometimes. There have been occurances where the popular vote and the electorial votes were so different they went for opposite presidents. I dont think they should be that conflicting because they are supposed to represent the popular vote, not go against it.

Too EARLY to Call
As the Washington Post's manading edior, Len Downie, condedes, "Alot of half baked things get into the newspapers including ours because people begin writing to much before they have enough facts."
This quote says it all. The press/media is so worried about delivering information first that they publish/quote information that may not be completely true. Just as in the 2004 presidential elections some newscasters made assumptions that there was no way Bush was going to win the election although all of the votes hadnt been counted. Then come to find out Bush won! They were just in a hurry to get the information out whether it was true or not.

Feeding Frenzy: Attack Journalism and Politics, By: Larry Sabato
A "feeding frenzy" is a time in politics when an unfortunate event may occur for one political person/party and the oppsers (other parties or media) attack on this event. They use it as a tool to attack the other side and may sometimes take it out of context. An example of a "frenzy" that turned into a "feeding frenzy" was during the 1988 US Senate Campaign in Virginia. Former Governor of Virginia, Chuck Robb, was accused in attending parties where cocaine was being used heavily. The frenzy was investigated from May 1987 until it was widely exposed in August 1998 in a local newspaper. He was also accused of being with other women besides his wife during their marriage.
