Too EARLY to Call

As the Washington Post's manading edior, Len Downie, condedes, "Alot of half baked things get into the newspapers including ours because people begin writing to much before they have enough facts."

This quote says it all. The press/media is so worried about delivering information first that they publish/quote information that may not be completely true. Just as in the 2004 presidential elections some newscasters made assumptions that there was no way Bush was going to win the election although all of the votes hadnt been counted. Then come to find out Bush won! They were just in a hurry to get the information out whether it was true or not.
